The Bryant Bulldogs are the 31st team in our 2022 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the third team from the NEC. Bryant went 9-4 overall in 2021 and 5-2 in NEC play. The Bulldogs defeated Saint Joseph's in the NEC Championship, but fell to Virginia in a close first round matchup.

Here's their entire 2022 spring schedule:

WHO'S IN?

  • Boston University Terriers (2/19)

  • Bellarmine Knights (3/1)

  • Air Force Falcons (3/12)

  • Brown Bears (4/26)

WHO'S OUT?

  • Stony Brook Seawolves (14-8 L)

CIRCLE THESE DATES

  • 3/5 at Vermont: For their nonconference slate, Bryant stays close to home with mainly regional opponents. The best out of that group is Vermont, the reigning America East champions. The Bulldogs defeated the Catamounts by three last year in their first meeting since 2013. Expect Vermont to be a contender in the America East once again.

  • 4/9 at Saint Joseph's: Usually the top two teams in the NEC on a yearly basis, but the Bulldogs are 3-6 against the Hawks since 2014. Two of those wins came in the NEC Championship in 2015 and last year. Keep an eye on the faceoff battle as well. In the first meeting last year, Zach Cole went 20-of-22 against Jacob Alexander (0-for-10) and Nathan Laliberte (2-of-12). In the second meeting, Cole went 13-of-30 against Alexander (17-of-30).

  • 4/26 at Brown: The Ocean State Cup is truly back for the first time since 2019. Providence won it with wins over Brown and Bryant in 2020 before the season ended due to COVID. Brown and Bryant have alternated victories since 2016, with the road team winning each contest. If history has its way, the Bulldogs come out of Providence on top.
