CIRCLE THESE DATES
2/19 vs. Lehigh: For the first time since 2004, Hobart will take on Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks finally broke through in 2021 and were one of the better teams in the country before falling to Rutgers in the NCAA Tournament. Mike Sisselberger is one of, if not the best faceoff specialists in the country and those extra possessions really make a difference.
3/6 at Syracuse: The Kraus-Simmons Trophy is up for grabs after missing last year due to the Statesmen playing a conference-only schedule. The Orange have taken the trophy home the last seven times. New head coach Gary Gait knows this rivalry from his playing days, never losing to the Statesmen in all four years from 1987-1990.
3/26 vs. Bryant: The teams had a pair of meetings last year. Hobart took the regular season by a goal led by Kevin Holtby's 23 saves and a Tommy Mott hat-trick. The second meeting came in the NEC Tournament with a back-and-forth affair ending up in Bryant's favor. It has the potential for yet another pair of meetings this year.
4/2 at Saint Joseph's: Hobart let a four-goal lead slip through in the fourth quarter, with the Hawks eventually winning in overtime. Derrek Madonna did have a game-high six points in the losing effort. The Hawks have won the last three meetings against Hobart.
