Previewing St. John's 2022 men's lacrosse schedule

The St. John's Red Storm are the 34th team in our 2022 men’s college lacrosse schedule preview series and the fourth team from the Big East. St. John's went 1-10 overall in 2021 and 0-10 in Big East play. The Red Storm failed to make the Big East Tournament.
Here's their entire 2022 spring schedule:

WHO'S IN?
Bucknell Bison (2/19)
Manhattan Jaspers (3/5)
Dartmouth Big Green (3/19)
Fairfield Stags (3/22)
Jacksonville Dolphins (3/26)
WHO'S OUT?
Hartford Hawks (13-11 W in 2020)
Michigan Wolverines (16-11 L in 2020)
One of Hofstra Pride (19-18 W/OT) or LIU Sharks (17-15 W in 2020)
CIRCLE THESE DATES
2/19 at Bucknell: St. John's is taking on their first Patriot League opponent since 2015 when they lost to Holy Cross. It's also the first time the Red Storm are playing the Bison since 2007 in Jason Miller's first game as head coach.
2/25 vs. Stony Brook (at Hofstra): These two teams, along with Hofstra and LIU, are taking part in a Long Island multi-team event, similar to what college basketball has been doing for a while. This is a little different than the Philly 4 Lacrosse Classic where the opponents for the Sunday games are determined by the results of the Friday games. The Friday winners will play each other and same goes with the losers. Stony Brook has won the last five meetings, but won the last two by a goal.
4/9 vs. Marquette: St. John's has one of the longest active winless streaks in conference play. They've lost their last 25 Big Esat games with their last win coming in the 2016 season finale. They nearly had two opportunities to get that first conference win last year against Marquette, both one-goal games. The first meeting in Wisconsin was decided in overtime.
